Fans are saying Taylor has been faking her victim persona and she’s actually a mean girl in disguise. The debate stems from Taylor writing numerous songs about boys breaking her heart after she was a perfect girlfriend but Taylor has actually been caught lying several times. Taylor lied about Joe Jonas breaking up with her in a 20-second phone call and she's known to publicly slam most of her ex's like Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer. But fans mostly called Taylor out for her fallout with the music label Big Machine. Taylor said the label was ruining her career and controlling what songs she could play. But an executive at Big Machine said Taylor could play any songs she wanted and had full control over her music catalog. The label even had to shut down its office for a day because they were receiving so many death threats from Taylor’s fans. People said Taylor was acting immature and not taking responsibility for signing contracts she would later regret. They think even though Taylor says everyone else is the problem, she’s the real problem.
