Frank Scott Crowhurst was Walt Disney’s studio architect and contractor. He designed additions to Disney’s Hyperion Avenue location and also served as chief contractor for the studio’s first dedicated space in Burbank, which began construction in 1939.

The Woking Way Residence showcases many of the signature elements of the Tudor / French Revival style with a few Mediterranean flares found throughout the house. Its exterior features characteristic white stucco, brick siding, and a tower topped with a cone-shaped roof that serves as the house’s main entrance. On the interior, exposed wood ceiling beams, wrought iron detailing, and an open staircase also stay faithful to the style.
