Several artists go through stage names before they pick one that sticks. But, there are artists who reinvent themselves completely with a new name, new look, and new sound. In this video, I'll cover three artists and their reinventions: (Amy Noonan/ Qveen Herby; Priscilla Renea/ Muni Long; and Natalia Kills/ Teddy Sinclair). Sometimes, artists reinvent themselves so that they can be more artistically authentic, which was Amy's case. In Muni's case, it was to reintroduce herself as a recording artist, and differentiate from her idea as a songwriter. Her song, Hrs and Hrs, was her breakout hit, and currently she's nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy's. She's written for most of the big names in music including Mariah Carey, Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, and Kelly Rowland. In cases like Natalia's, she switched up her persona to start fresh after she and her husband basically ended their careers on X Factor. Natalia, now known as Teddy Sinclair, is currently the frontwoman of the band Cruel Youth. She's also written for artists including Madonna, Rihanna, and Blackpink.
