This video shows the list of best-selling music artists from 1960 to 2020 worldwide. Numbers represent total certified units adjusted to twelve months trailing average. Certified units include sales of albums, singles (including digital downloads), videos and streaming services. Artists are dropped from the list when they stopped claiming certified units. As a result, Elvis Presley is considered the highest-selling individual artist based on sales claims and Drake is the highest-selling individual artist based on certified units.
