Songs Written for Other Artists (and my thoughts)

Often times, a song changes hands at least a few times before it's officially released. Writers and producers shop their songs around with the hope of it falling into the hands of an artist who will make it a success. But, this isn't always the first person to be attached to or record the song. And in some cases, writers write a song for an artist but decide to keep and record the song for themselves.
