A Nevada couple was arrested after their 11-year-old child with autism was allegedly found locked in a “cage-like” structure in the family’s home. Police took Jeffery Scanlan, 41, and Misty Scanlan, 46, into custody after a school truancy officer went to the home for a welfare check over some of the couple’s four kids’ absences, according to the Henderson Police Department.
