A year ago, I went mega-viral on Instagram. Today, it's just not the same. For some, going viral is a sought-after thing - it means money, fame, and a life of frivolous attention to the online world. For others, it's a rude wakeup call to the reality of how we communicate, and more importantly, why going viral on short-form platforms simply isn't worth it.
