Taylor Swift's catalog of music is back on TikTok after a licensing dispute that led her label to remove her songs from the app. Many artists have repeatedly raised the issue of inadequate royalties paid by TikTok. Universal Music took its artists' songs from the platform recently, following a licensing dispute. Many of Swift's songs have been made available again for users to add to their videos, but no other music from Universal has been added back. This might be because Swift owns the copyright to her music, unlike other artists, under the terms of her 2018 deal with Universal.
